Editorial Policy

The principal criteria for publication are originality, high scientific quality and interest to a multidisciplinary audience. Papers not sufficiently substantiated by experimental detail will not be published. The authors are fully responsible for the language of their articles. Papers not meeting the standards of sound English grammar might not be published. All papers are refereed. Acceptance of papers is the responsibility of the Editor in consultation with the Reviewers and the Associate Editors. Manuscripts submitted will be subjected to peer review by two reviewers familiar with the relevant field of research, being from a different country or at least from a different institution from the author(s). Only papers of high scientific quality will be accepted for publication. After review process, the Editor will inform the authors of the acceptance, rejection or necessity of revision of the manuscript. Any technical queries will be referred back to the author, although the Editors reserve the right to make alterations in the text without altering the technical content. If accepted, the manuscript shall not be published elsewhere in the same form, in either the same or another language, without the consent of the Editors. Author(s) must state in a covering letter when submitting papers for publication the novelty embodied in their work or in the approach taken in their research.
ARJ insists on ethical practices in both human and animal experimentation. Evidence for approval by a Local Ethics Committee (for both human as well as animal studies) must be supplied by the authors on demand. Animal experimental procedures should be as humane as possible and the details of an aesthetics and analgesics used should be clearly stated. Author(s) must be careful when they reproduce text, tables or illustrations from other sources. Plagiarism will be viewed seriously. All accepted papers are subject to editorial changes.

Section Policies

Original scientific papers are the results of empirically- or theoretically-based scientific research, which employ scientific methods, and which report experimental or observational aspects of Engineering. Descriptive analyses or data inferences should include rigorous methodological structure as well as sound theory. Your manuscript should include the following sections: Introduction, Methods, Results, and Discussion.

Review papers should provide concise in-depth reviews of both established and new areas, based on a critical examination of the literature, analyzing the various approaches to a specific topic in all aspects of Engineering siene.

Editorials are written or commissioned by the editors, but suggestions for possible topics and authors are welcome. It could be peer reviewed by two reviewers who may be external or by the Editorial Board.

Short reports of experimental work, new methods, or a preliminary report can be accepted as two page papers. Your manuscript should include the following sections: Introduction, Methods, Results, and Discussion.

Peer review – fair review provides authors who feel their paper has been unfairly rejected (at any journal) the opportunity to share reviewer comments, explain their concerns, and have their paper reviewed for possible publication in ARJ.

Peer Review Process
The manuscript submitted by the author will be reviewed by an international committee of reviewers to ensure that the manuscript presents a high quality research and original scientific work. The steps followed by the Applied Research Journal during the review process are given below.

  • After receiving the manuscript the corresponding author is sent a confirmation email.
  • The editorial board screens the manuscript and sends it to the referees for blind review (the referees are selected according to their expertise in the field).
  • All manuscripts are evaluated according to the reviewers’ guidelines. On the basis of their evaluation, the referees recommend the paper either for publication or for rejection or they can suggest some necessary changes if it is needed.
  • Finally the editorial board takes the final decision for publication of the article. If a paper is accepted for publication, the corresponding author is issued an acceptance letter.
Normally, the review process is completed within four weeks.

Plagiarism includes, but is not limited to:

  • Directly copying text from other sources without attribution
Copying ideas, images, or data from other sources without attribution
Reusing text from your own previous publications without attribution or agreement of the editor
Using an idea from another source with slightly modified language without attribution.

If plagiarism is detected during the peer review process, the manuscript may be rejected. If plagiarism is detected after publication, we may issue a correction or retract the paper, as appropriate.
